Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On February 20, 2014, at a Job site located at 4423 NE Park Springs Ct, Lees Summit, MO., Employees were observed walking and working on unprotected sides and edges adjacent to the interior second floor stair landing, exterior and interior wall top plates without the benefit of any fall protection. As a result the employees were exposed to fall hazards of approx. 8 feet 7 inches, 10 feet and up approx. 19 feet along the exterior perimeter top plate areas. Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

As a result the employees were exposed to fall hazards of approx. 10 feet to the lower levels. Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
