29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person: On or about 2/20/2014, at the above addressed jobsite, site inspections were not being performed on a frequent or regular basis ensuring safety and health hazards were identified and corrected in a timely manner. Employees were observed using: abrasive blasting equipment with damaged gauges, improperly assembled supply airline respirators, temporary electrical wiring that was exposed to damage and an electrical junction box that was not mounted. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
