29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Proctor and Gamble Distribution Warehouse, Shippensburg Pennsylvania - Employees worked on the roof to remove snow. The employees were not protected from falling with a guard rail, safety net or personal fall arrest system and were exposed to a fall of 44 feet from the roof to the ground, on or about February 25, 2014. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
