29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: The Mill area - Employees operating the 10" Black & Decker Ball Bearing Bench Grinder for sharpening drill bits were exposed to tool jamming hazards in that the work rest on the left side of the operator was adjusted to 1 inch from the grinding wheel. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The Mill area - Employees operating the 10" Black & Decker Ball Bearing Bench Grinder for sharpening drill bits were exposed to injury in the event of wheel failure in that the adjustable tongue guards on the left side of the operator measured 1 inch from the grinding wheel. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.
