29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.  On about March 3, 2014, flexible cords with exposed live parts were observed in and near the buffing area and fabrication building, exposing employees to an electrical shock hazard.    a)  An extension cord plugged into the wall near the entrance to the buffing area had exposed wiring where the cord met the plug and approximately one foot from where the cord met the plug.    b)  The cord powering one of the buffers in the buffer area had exposed internal wiring.    c)  The extension cord powering the Master 150,000 BTU heater had exposed wiring where the cord meets the plug.    The Brenham Area Marble, was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number: 279244, Citation Number: 01, Item Number: 03 and was affirmed as a Final Order on July 31, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at: 2579 FM 389 Brenham, TX 77833.
