29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a) Raw side: The screw conveyor on the main grinding station was not properly guarded exposing the rotating auger to contact, as observed on or about March 10, 2013.    b) Cooked side: The screw conveyor on the primary grinding station was not properly guarded exposing the rotating auger to contact, as observed on or about March 10, 2014.    c) Raw side: Openings in the front of the Formax 19 machines (3), used for paper application, were not guarded exposing the moving forming equipment to contact, as observed on or about March 10, 2014.    d) Cooked side: An interlock was defeated and the front doors of the Ilapak meatball packaging machine were open exposing the sealing equipment to contact, as observed on or about March 10, 2014.    e) Cooked side: The front cover of the Emplex sealing machine was missing exposing the rotating parts to contact, as observed on or about March 10, 2014.    Abatement Observed During Inspection.
