29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 03/18/14, on the roof of main building at the Sheridan Residence Apartments located at 2100 Sheridan Dr., Tonawanda, NY: Two of the three employees engaged in roofing work were exposed to a fall of approx. 17 foot. The company had chosen to use a Personal fall arrest system as their fall protection method, but two of the employees were not tied off. The roof pitch was estimated to be 5 in 12. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
