29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) 1871 Santa Barbara Drive, PA - Employees were observed setting up a hammer drill and attaching a 2 x 12 plank to a concrete block wall without the benefit of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employees to a fall of 8 feet 5 inches to the ground below, on or about March 31, 2014. No abatement certification or documentation required.
