29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Except as provided in paragraphs (b)(2)(i) and (b)(2)(ii) of this section, each scaffold platform and walkway shall be at least 18 inches (46 cm) wide. a. On or about April 9, 2014 - at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was using the top rail of the Genie GS-1930 Scissors Lift as a working platform which was not eighteen (18) inches wide, thereby exposing the employee to a fall of approximately eleven (11) feet six (6) inches. b. On or about April 9, 2014 - at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was using the midrails of the Genie GS-1930 Scissors Lift as a working platform which was not eighteen (18) inches wide, thereby exposing the employee to a fall of approximately eleven (11) feet six (6) inches.
