29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:       a)  Employees engaged in masonry work were not protected from the hazards of falling, while working along unprotected edges of the deck with the height of approximately 35 feet.       JS Masonry & Restoration, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 737821, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 8, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1830 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60613.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
