29 CFR 1910.176(b): Storage was not secure. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a. Within the overstock area, on or about 04/11/14: An employee was walking between stacked bundles of steel which were not secure against collapse. An employee sustained injury when struck by falling bundles of steel. Pacemaker Steel and Piping Company, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.176 (b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314347816, citation number one, item number two and was affirmed as a final order on 11/29/10, with respect to a workplace located at 2 North Floral Avenue, Binghamton, New York, 13901.
