29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Slabaugh Construction Incorporated on or about April 30, 2014, at the address of 40 Christy Chapel, Port Clinton, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while performing wood framing activities atop the roof deck of a commercial type structure. Employees were exposed to falls between 8 and 12 ft. to the ground below.
