29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: The employer did not have a hearing conservation program for employees exposed above 85 dBA: a) On or about May 21, 2014, the employee, stacking planed hard wood boards, was exposed to 87.6 dBA, as an 8 hour time weighted average. The employee was sampled for 482 minutes. b) On or about May 21, 2014, the employee, feeding the planer with hard wood boards, was exposed to 91.4 dBA, as an 8 hour time weighted average. The employee was sampled for 480 minutes. c) On or about May 21, 2014, the employee, assisting with feeding the planer with hard wood boards, was exposed to 91.6 dBA, as an 8 hour time weighted average. Employee was sampled for 486 minutes.

TWA exposure was 1.40 mg/m3. b) Employee placing rough boards on the planer metal roller conveyor total dust 8 hr. TWA exposure was 8.31 mg/m3. c) Employee assisting with placing rough boards on the planer metal roller conveyor total dust 8 hr. TWA was 4.84 mg/m3.
