29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with this section: (a) 1587 Longmeadow St Longmeadow, MA: On or about April 25, 2014, an employee was working in an excavation that was greater than 7 ft. deep without an adequate protective system in place to protect against cave-ins: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1): GEG Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.652 (a) 1, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 941944, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 22, 2013 with respect to a workplace located at the corner of Williams and Meriwether St. in Longmeadow, MA.
