Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: a) 1076 Elm Ridge Drive in Glencoe, IL- Fiberglass ladders, such as the Werner 24 Fiberglass Ladder being used at the Elm Ridge Drive location, were not removed from service when defects were found, such as bent and dented rungs. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
