Employees using pneumatic nail guns were exposed to eye injuries from flying debris, as they were not wearing protective wearing eye, safety glasses, while installing roof trusses and exterior sheathing.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a) Roof of residence at Lot 41 Marie Farms subdivision, Palmetto, Georgia. Employees installing roof trusses and wall and roof sheathing were exposed to fall hazards of 10-feet 6-inches, 19-feet 8-inches, and 21-feet 5-inches, while working from an unprotected exterior top plate and different roof levels. b) Side of residence at Lot 41 Marie farms subdivision, Palmetto, Georgia. An employee was exposed to fall hazards of 19-feet 2-inches while leaning out of an unprotected wall opening. c) Interior of residence at Lot 41 Marie Farms subdivision, Palmetto, Georgia. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of 10-feet 7-inches while passing and working in the adjacent area of an unprotected floor opening.

29 CFR 1926.416(e)(1): Worn or frayed electric cords or cables were used: a) Front of residence at Lot 41 Marie Farms subdivision, Palmetto, Georgia. An employee was exposed to electrical shock and/or burns while operating a circular saw with a spliced and damaged power cord. The outer scuff coat of the spliced power cord was torn and separated exposing the inner insulated conductors.
