(b) First Story Roof: Employees were exposed to a fall of 11 feet from the roof to the ground below while conducting roofing activities on a roof with a slope of 2:12, as observed on May 19, 2014. Abatement Certification Required for this Item.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.: (a) Roof of Residence: Employees were not wearing safety glasses while using Bostitch pneumatic nail guns to secure shingles and hammers to secure felt paper, as observed on May 19, 2014. Secure Construction Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311682819, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on July 9, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 1336 Enslow Park, Huntington, WV 25701. Abatement Certification and Documentation Required for this Item.
