29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Kuser Rd., @ Rt. 130, Hamilton, NJ: On or about 06/03/2014, three SM1 Carpentry employees conducting framing activities on a new construction hotel building were working at the edges of the 4th floor roof decking with no form of fall protection and were thus exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 40 feet to the ground below.
