29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of copper fume and iron oxide fume listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentrations of 0.1 mg/m3 and 10 mg/m3, respectively. a. On or about July 2, 2014, an employee working in the air arc booth was exposed to copper fume at an 8-hour time weighted average of 0.335 mg/m3 for the 446 minutes sampled, which is 3.3 times the permissible exposure limit of 0.1 mg/m3. Zero exposure was assumed for the 34 minutes not sampled. b. On or about July 2, 2014, an employee working in the air arc booth was exposed to iron oxide fume at an 8-hour time weighted average of 29.733 mg/m3 for the 446 minutes sampled, which is 2.97 times the permissible exposure limit of 10.0 mg/m3. Zero exposure was assumed for the 34 minutes not sampled.

On or about July 2, 2014, an employee working in the air arc booth was exposed to copper fume at an 8-hour time weighted average of 0.335 mg/m3 for the 446 minutes sampled, which is 3.3 times the permissible exposure limit of 0.1 mg/m3. Zero exposure was assumed for the 34 minutes not sampled. b. On or about July 2, 2014, an employee working in the air arc booth was exposed to iron oxide fume at an 8-hour time weighted average of 29.733 mg/m3 for the 446 minutes sampled, which is 2.97 times the permissible exposure limit of 10.0 mg/m3. Zero exposure was assumed for the 34 minutes not sampled. Ventilation that was present was not appropriately designed to reduce employee exposure.
