29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling. a) Behind Inbound Office, 285 Center Point Boulevard, Pittston, PA - Employees used a power strip (relocatable power tap-RPT) attached to an extension cord (flexible power cord) plugged into an electrical outlet box (branch circuit receptacle) to energize equipment such as but not limited to, a 42" TPI Industrial Direct Drive Portable Blower Model PB-42-B and a Clover Bottled Water Cooler Model B7B. Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard on or about May 20, 2014. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous conditions were corrected during the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a) "Tugger" Battery Charging Area, Outside Main Office, 285 Center Point Boulevard, Pittston, PA - Employees charged a "Tugger" with an energized extension cord (flexible power cord) that had exposed conductors due to damage created by a lack of strain relief. Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard on or about May 20, 2014. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous condition was corrected during the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.334(a)(3)(ii): Attachment plugs and receptacles were connected or altered in a manner which prevented proper continuity of the electric equipment grounding conductor at the point where plugs were attached to receptacles. a) "Tugger" Battery Charging Area, Outside Main Office, 285 Center Point Boulevard, Pittston, PA - Employees charged a "Tugger" with an extension cord (flexible power cord) that was missing a grounding prong. Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard on or about June 12, 2014. b) Mezzanine, 285 Center Point Boulevard, Pittston, PA - Employees energized a bottled water cooler, portable blower and battery charger through an inadequately attached 3-way outlet adapter (current tap) that could result in excessive heat from increased resistance leading to potential damage of the 3-way outlet adapter and/or the electrical receptacle outlet box (branch circuit receptacle). Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard on or about June 12, 2014. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous condition was corrected during the inspection.
