29 CFR 1926.300(c): Personal protective equipment. Employees using hand and power tools and exposed to the hazard of falling, flying, and abrasive objects, were not provided with the particular personal protective equipment necessary to protect them from the hazard. All personal protective equipment shall meet the requirements and be maintained according to Subparts D and E of this part.      (a) On June 19, 2014, at the job site located at 1722 Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO., Employees engaged in exterior building repair activities were exposed to eye hazard injuries, in that they were not using any eye protection while using power tools to attach wooden shingles.      Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds were not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports:      (a) On June 19, 2014, at the job site located at 1722 Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO., Employees engaged in exterior building repair activities were exposed to fall hazard injuries, in that the working level of the scaffold in use was not fully decked or planked. As a result employees were exposed to an approx. 11 feet fall to the concrete below.     Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level:      (a) On June 19, 2014, at the job site located at 1722 Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO., Employees engaged in exterior building repair activities were exposed to fall hazard injuries, in that there was no guardrails or fall protection equipment in use while working from the scaffold work platform. As a result employees were exposed to an approx. 11 feet fall to the concrete below.      Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.     (a) On June 19, 2014, at the job site located at 1722 Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO., Employees engaged in exterior building repair activities were exposed to fall hazard injuries, in that an employee was observed on the roof without any fall protection systems or fall protection equipment while doing flashing work. As a result, the employee was exposed to an approximately 18 feet fall to the concrete below.     Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
