29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Mill and Slitting Areas: Employees were required to work with chemicals such as, but not limited to Carbon and Low Alloy Steel, Hot Rolled Alloy Steel Sheet, TAFA Tin Alloy Wire, Tube-Alloy Cobalt Based Cored Wires, and Welding gases while forming steel tubes. The employer did not provide training specific to the hazards of chemical used at the establishment to all employees working with hazardous chemicals.
