29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement:   a)  New Post Commissary along the front of building and side doors; On or about June 18, 2014 and at times prior thereto the controlling employer Carothers Construction, Inc. failed to ensure that its sub-contractor Gunby Construction Co., Inc. protected its employees from impalement hazards from protruding reinforcing steel which was not capped or otherwise guarded.   Carothers Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.701(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316304369, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 25, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Bldg 1000 Quarter Master Road, Fort Rucker AL, 36362.
