29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded: The employer does not guard the point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury. This violation was observed on or about June 24, 2014, in the rounder area where an employee was exposed to a caught-in hazard when operating and standing near a rounder machine without a point of operation guard in place. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that guards are installed on all machines to protect employees from the point of operation.

29 CFR 1910.263(e)(1)(viii): Horizontal dough mixer(s) were not equipped with a full enclosure over the bowl while the agitator was in motion: The employer does ensure that a full enclosure is over the bowl while the agitator is in motion. This violation was observed on or about June 24, 2014, in the mixing area where an employee was exposed to a caught-in hazard when operating a mixer without the agitator being fully enclosed while in motion. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that mixers are fully enclosed while the agitator is in motion.
