29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(ii): The written hazard communication program did not include the methods the employer would use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas: (a) At Eastern Iowa Airport, a multi-employer worksite, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) did not implement and maintain a written hazard communication program that addressed and described the criteria for working when carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide alarms activated and when ventilation failed. TSA employees were exposed to these decomposition products that entered the baggage check area from airport operations and one employee was diagnosed with elevated carbon monoxide blood levels.
