Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. a. East wall storage area- On or about June 26, 2014, employees were required to access an obstructed electrical control panel. The control panel was obstructed and blocked by boxes of material and steel pipe. Thereby exposing employees to shock, electrocution, and fire hazard(s).

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by this standard, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more shall be guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the following means: a. East Wall Storage area- On or about June 06, 2014, the employer did not effectively cover energized wires entering control box. Thereby exposing employees to shock and electrocution hazard(s).
