OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: a) 1050 Industrial Blvd, LaFayette AL - Warehouse; On or about June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work around at least thirteen (13) free standing steel storage racks which were damaged and none of the column base plates were anchored to the floor.

29 CFR 1910.255(b)(4): All press welding machine operations, where there was a possibility of the operator's fingers being under the point of operation, were not effectively guarded by use of a device such as electronic eye safety circuit, two hand control, or similar protection: a) Production Floor; On or about June 24, 2014, and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to crush/amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate the #5 Projection press welding machine where the point of operation was not provided with any type guarding such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand control, or other similar protection as required by the regulation. b) Production Floor; On or about June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to crush/amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate the #7 Projection press welding machine where the point of operation was not provided with any type guarding such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand control, or other similar protection as required by the regulation. c) Production Floor; On or about June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to crush/amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate the #8 Projection press welding machine where the point of operation was not provided with any type guarding such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand control, or other similar protection as required by the regulation. d) Production Floor; On or about June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to crush/amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate the suspension part press welding machine where the point of operation was not provided with any type guarding such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand control, or other similar protection as required by the regulation. Saehaesung Alabama, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.255(b)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315846360, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 22, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 210 Progress Drive, Andalusia AL 36421. NOTE: CHANGED FROM REPEAT TO FAILURE TO ABATE THROUGH CONTEST PROCESS. UNABLE TO DOCUMENT THE CHANGE DUE TO PROGRAMMING ISSUES. SEE CASE FILE.
