29 CFR 1926.351(b)(2): Welding cable(s) in use were not free from improper repair or splices for a minimum distance of 10 feet from the cable end to which the electrode holder was connected: a) Balcony Framing On or about 06/30/2014, workers using an arc welder as part of a structural steel framing operation were exposed to an electrical shock hazard from a welding cable which had been repairs within 8 feet and 9 feet or the electrode holder. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
