29 CFR 1926.405(b)(1): Unused openings in cabinets, boxes, and fittings were not effectively closed: The employer does not ensure that unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings are effectively closed. a) This violation was observed on or about July 15, 2014, located on the first floor where employees were exposed to electrical hazards when a temporary breaker panel used to power cameras and outlets had open circuit breaker slots which were not covered. b) This violation was observed on or about July 15, 2014, located on the first floor where employees were exposed to electrical hazards when a temporary breaker panel used to power cameras and outlets had an open knockout that was not covered on the left side. Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that that unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings are effectively closed.
