29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. (a) Metal Roof, Anna K. Davie Elementary School located at 24 East Main Street, Rome, GA 30161: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 38-feet, 8-inches to the lower level while installing metal roof panels on a 3/12 pitched roof without personal fall arrest systems connected to the metal cable and anchor point provided. TNT Steel Structures, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314540949, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/30/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 4090 AL Hwy 120, Notasulga, AL 36866.
