29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a. On or about July 31, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, employees installing the roof joists on the three story residence under construction were exposed to fall hazards due to the lack of a fall protection system. H & R Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 967950, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on June 4, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at Creekside Crossing 15801 & 15805 Creekview in Plainfield, IL.
