29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):     a. Brandon Camp Construction, LLC on August 7, 2014, at the address of 3827 Club Blvd. in Port Clinton, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing weatherproofing materials on the roof of a residential type structure.  Employees were exposed to an approximate 18 foot fall to the ground below.    Brandon Camp Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 97824, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 8, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 5716 McCartney Rd. in Sandusky, OH.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    a.  Brandon Camp Construction, LLC on August 7, 2014, at the address of 3827 E. Club Blvd. in Port Clinton, OH: The employer did not ensure the side rails of the 40 foot aluminum extension ladder were extended at least three feet above the landing.  Employees were exposed to falls while using the ladder to access the working level to perform roofing activities.    Brandon Camp Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 97824, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 8, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 5716 McCartney Rd. in Sandusky, Ohio.
