29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached), where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches (1.0 M) above the walking/working surface, is not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. a) 681 Blue Barn Rd., Allentown, PA., Facility, 2nd & 3rd Level, Window-Wall Opening: On or about August 18, 2014, employees were installing drywall and electrical wiring throughout a three-story facility. However, employees were not protected from unguarded window openings, exposing employees to a fall hazard of up to 28 feet.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail. a) 681 Blue Barn Rd., Allentown, PA., Facility, All Stairs/Stairways -- On or about August 18, 2014, employees who were installing sheetrock and electrical wiring was using stairways that had 9 risers but none of the stairway had a handrail, exposing employee to a fall hazard.
