29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, and uprights did not bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation: The employer does not ensure that supported scaffold legs bear on base plates. This violation occurred on or about August 21, 2014, on the north side of the jobsite where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard when installing a brick column without the scaffold legs bearing on base plates. Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that supported scaffold legs bear on base plates.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. The employer does not ensure that each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level is protected from falling to the lower level. This violation occurred on or about August 21, 2014, on the north side of the jobsite where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 10 feet when installing a brick column without a fall protection system. Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level is protected from falling to the lower level.
