29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: 6 Elise St, Westfield, MA On August 29, 2014 and at times prior, some nip points and rotating parts of the Sleeter 1 machine were accessible to employees through unguarded areas or hinged guards that were not interlocked. On July 28, 2014, an employee was injured when contacting a nip point behind an unguarded area.
