29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) TownePlace Suites, Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania - Employees working on the roof to fabricate and install HVAC ducting were not protected from falling to a lower level by an authorized fall protection system. Employees were exposed to a fall of over 50 feet from the roof to the ground below on or about September 10, 2014. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
