29 CFR 1910.132(f)(3)(iii): The employer did not retrain employees when inadequacies in the affected employee's use of PPE indicated the employee had not retained the requisite understanding. (a) On or about October 7, 2014, SolarCity Corporation, did not ensure that its employees used protective equipment whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered. Employees of SolarCity Corporation were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 17 feet while engaged in solar panel repair activities, on the roof of a residential building, without fall protection equipment properly tied off to a roof anchor. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
