29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Warehouse, Small Zone-Down Work Area, Battery Storage Rack, -- On or about October 14, 2014, employees were handling lead-acid batteries, but only had immediate access to an eyewash unit which only dispensed water for a duration of three minutes. Abatement Note: Among other feasible means of abatement, an eyewash to provide the necessary and proper flushing of the eyes may be selected per the guidance contained within ANSI Z358.1 - 2009, American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment.
