29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use. On or about October 17, 2014, on the west side of the construction site, employees installing stucco material, worked from a trash box elevated by a 10054 JLG forklift. The trash box was used as a work platform that was not approved by the forklift manufacturer exposing the employees to an unprotected fall and/or crushing hazard.
