29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): The employer failed to ensure that each employee conducting roofing work were protected from fall hazards. (a) Employees were exposed to falling up to 10 feet to the grade from the eve of the 5:12 pitched roof. (b) Employees were exposed to falling into the unguarded skylights of the residential roof. JKL Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313527038, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on April 22, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 1349 Rose Court in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
