OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) At the site - for employees using compressed air located in the work areas at 369 E. Douglas Rd. Oldsmar, FL , as observed on or about 11/04/2014, the facility used PVC Plastic Piping in exposed above ground locations to distribute compressed air throughout the facility for drying metal parts. The piping was connected to a 165 psi compressor operating at 80 psi. The use of PVC plastic pipe in exposed above ground locations is not recommended by the Plastic Pipe Institute, and such use is prohibited by ANSI/ASME B31.8-1986, Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems Standard
