29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards: (a). Worksite located at 8383 Booth Road, Kansas City, Missouri- Employees exposed to fall hazards had not been adequately trained by a qualified person in that the employees were under the misconception that wearing a body belt with a six foot lanyard was acceptable by OSHA. While the employee did not have the lanyard connected to the boom or basket, the use of a six foot lanyard in conjunction with a body belt has been outlawed since 1998.
