29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use personal protective equipment:  Ramp and Hangar:  Employer did not provide training to each employee who perform servicing of lavatories of the planes that included the following elements:   a) What PPE is necessary; b) The limitations of the PPE; and, c) The proper care, maintenance, useful life and disposal of PPE.

29 CFR 1910.141(a)(4)(i): Receptacle(s) used for putrescible solid or liquid waste or refuse were not constructed to prevent leaks:  Establishment:  Employer did not ensure that the waste drain conduit for the lavatory waste of the planes was so constructed and maintained to prevent leaks. Employees are exposed to putrescible solids and liquids during servicing of lavatories, in particular, those of the E 190 fleet.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  Ramp and Hangar:  Employer's PPE assessment did not include all elements required by this section such as:  a) Selecting, and having each affected employee using, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; b) Communicating selection decisions to each affected employee; and, c) Selecting PPE that properly fits each affected employee.  The PPE assessment did not include PPE that would adequately protect the head, body and feet of the employees who were exposed to lavatory waste. Employer did not ensure that hearing protectors were readily available at all times.
