29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 12/9/14 at 213 Flowing Wells Road in Martinez, GA: The employer failed to protect the openings in the Media Center and Upper Porch area to protect the employees walking and working in the area from a fall hazard of up to 15 feet to the lower level. The McDonald Construction Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 898722, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 6/11/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2016 William Few Parkway in Grovetown, Georgia.
