29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area: 1) On December 10, 2014, and at prior times, the employer did not provide employees with effective training, in that employees in the prep department were not aware of the hazards of chemicals such as isocyanates that are present in clear coat and primers. Employees in the prep department apply these chemicals in spray finishing operations.
