29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) On or about December 10, 2014, 13th Street & Boulevard, street broom operators who were temporary employees did not receive effective hazard communication training on measures they can take to protect against exposure to crystalline silica containing dust such as the use of dust mask respirators. Crystalline silica containing materials included but were not limited to crushed stone and sand.
