29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not develop an accident prevention program, that provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment, to be made by competent persons designated by the employer. a) Sanz Town Rd & Pressburg Lane, Lakewood, NJ: The employer did not initiate a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition. As such, five GS Brito Contracting employees installing sheathing on the roof of a three story new construction residential structure without any form of fall protection were exposed to a fall hazard of over 30 feet from the roof's edge to the ground. Additionally, employees were exposed to potential eye injuries while using pneumatic nail guns and a circular saw with no form of eye protection. Observed on or about 12/17/2014. The employer, GS Brito Contracting LLC dba Brito Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 953454, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/01/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2nd Ave & Ocean Ave., Manasquan, NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
