29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(i): Footings were not level, sound, rigid, and capable of supporting the loaded scaffold without settling or displacement: a) 300 Bowman Street, Dickson City: An employee was on a 5-foot ladder frame scaffold laying bricks onto the exterior of the front wall of the building and the footings of the scaffold were not level, causing the scaffold to have a slight tilt, exposing the employee to a potential tip hazard, on or about December 16, 2014. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1)(i): Each platform unit (e.g., scaffold plank, fabricated plank, fabricated deck, or fabricated platform) was not installed so that the space between adjacent units and the space between the platform and the uprights were no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, except where the employer can demonstrate that a wider space is necessary: a) 300 Bowman Street, Dickson City: An employee was laying bricks onto the exterior front wall of a building from a fabricated platform with a space of six inches between the platform end and the uprights while on a 5-foot ladder frame scaffold, exposing the employee to a potential hazard, on or about December 16, 2014. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
