29 CFR 1926.405(b)(1): Conductors entering boxes, cabinets, or fittings. Conductors entering boxes, cabinets, or fittings shall be protected from abrasion, and openings through which conductors enter shall be effectively closed. Unused openings in cabinets, boxes, and fittings shall also be effectively closed. a. On or before December 30, 2014, at the worksite located at 1010 Refugee Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147, there was an unused opening the temporary electrical panel located in the 2nd floor shell space area, thereby exposing employees to an electrical contact hazard. b. On or before December 30, 2014, at the worksite located at 1010 Refugee Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147, a flexible cord from a relocatable power tap was routed through a hole in a tool cabinet, located in the 1st floor MOB area, without being protected from abrasion, thereby exposing employees to an electrical contact hazard. Denier Electric was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.405(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 895748, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 3, 2013 with respect to a workplace located at 8111 Smith Mill Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054.
