29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2): Exit access(es) were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points.    Employees were exposed to burn hazards in the following area and the employer did not ensure that all exit accesses were at least 28" wide at all points. The back room exit located in the center of the building was blocked by a refrigerator and a series of stacked plastic boxes, creating a pathway approximately 13" wide.    Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:    The employer did not provide sufficient access and working space about electrical equipment in the following areas:    a) Employees were exposed to electrical shock and burn injuries from insufficient access to electrical panels located on the back wall of the back room which were blocked by a wooden storage bench and lawn and garden equipment.     b) Employees were exposed to electrical shock and caught in/between injuries from insufficient access to a power disconnect that supplies power to the hydraulic lift used to load and unload trucks. The disconnect was blocked by a rolling cart full of various materials.     Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(c).

The employer did not ensure that employees using circuit breakers used as switches in 120-volt and 277-volt fluorescent lighting circuits were marked and listed "SWD." Employees are exposed to fire hazards from switches that are not designed for regular on/off switching.     Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:   The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program. Employees were exposed to incidental contact with oils and cleaning materials sold at the store, and employees trained on the installation of natural gas powered equipment were not trained on hazard communciation. A written hazard communication program and safety data sheets were not maintained.   Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
